I think it's basically about brainwashing. Gullible adults are at higher risk of being hooked into a cult than those who are well educated critical thinkers. But those at greatest risk are children who'll soak up everything adults teach them without question. I wasn't born into a cult but I was brainwashed into one at an early age. I eventually deprogrammed myself but not before I had reached my 50's. It's incredibly important that children are taught as early as possible the facts about religions, cults and their origins and how to think critically.

The curves are not shifted. The virus was first detected in Australia in Jan 2020. The Australian governments (and NZ) took a different approach than did the UK government. We've been in strict lock-downs and/or border closures for 12 months. The only Australian state to have issues during the Australian winter was where I live (Victoria) and the cause is now well understood. There was even an investigation held which spanned months. The result... hotel quarantine failure. The other states (WA, SA, TAS, NSW) did not have any major outbreaks during their winter. By contrast, the UK government implemented a mish-mash of failed policies that were late and/or ineffective. Same in the US. Also working against you theory is that there were major outbreaks during the norther hemisphere summer. It's obviously not yet a seasonal issue. It's all about human behavior and government policies.
