They were also responsible for high levels of immigration, etc. They also mismanaged the mining boom, taking a short term approach... a wasted opportunity. They also wanted to crush work conditions and wages. A small small in GDP per capita is expected in a tightening phase. We, like the US has been fighting inflation. Cycles are normal. It's the politicians who try to score rore cheap political points from normal events, as did Trump.

A woman was recently thrown of a building, beaten and killed for allegedly damaging a Quran. In what way does Islam deserve any respect when it's follower's value paper and ink over human life? I mean, books are just paper and ink.... aren't they? What's lost apart from the paper and ink? What happens when I delete a copy of the Quran from my hard drive or when the hard drive dies and is discarded? Let's be rational. Why should we respect the irrational?

I agree, in fact I would almost go as far as saying everyone does it, whether Christian or non Christian. Human nature plays a part but the bible's ambiguous, contradictory, unreliable and inconsistent content plays a bigger part. Most claim to understand it but it would appear that most don't given the huge diversity of interpretation.

For many atheists, gaining a fuller understanding of the bible and it's history is the reason why they became atheists. I was a Christian for 35 years and was shocked when I discovered what the bible really was. Needless to say, I am no longer a Christian.

It's not ALL about racism, etc. This fact must be learned if left leaning parties can win back support. Lying about conservatives just further alienates them. That's how it affected me back in 2016. And this is not just an American problem. The problems are the same across the West. It's a problem in Europe with the move to the right there. I'm not American, but It's also happening in my country. The first step to solving a problem is to understand it, not to lie about it. I believe too many of the left are being intellectually dishonest with themselves. It is in large part about your party. You need to move toward the centre, not lurch left.

  89. Lightbringer I would suggest any animosity toward SJWs has little to do with disliking respect and manners. To the contrary. Yes there are those on the right who spend much of their time mocking SJWs. I guess it does act as a stress reliever. I know from personal experience that listening to SJWs attempts at reasoned argument is frustrating at best and too often it degenerates into a screaming match. My disdain is due to SJW support for identity politics, LGBT fanaticism, radical feminism, affirmative action, gender quotas, unreasonable restrictions on free speech, de-platforming, blind support for Islamic immigration, promoting groups over individuals, the outrage culture, socialism and playing victim to mention a few. I support respect and manners but that doesn't necessitate being an SJW.
