  3. Supporting Trump is not only about racism etc. I used to be "pro Trump", and I can guarantee you that I'm not a racist or a bigot. It's not ALL about racism, etc. This fact must be learned if left leaning parties can win back support. Lying about conservatives just further alienates them. That's how it affected me back in 2016. And this is not just an American problem. The problems are the same across the West. It's a problem in Europe with the move to the right there. I'm not American, but It's also happening in my country. The first step to solving a problem is to understand it, not to lie about it. I believe too many of the left are being intellectually dishonest with themselves. It is in large part about your party. You need to move toward the centre, not lurch left.
