Abdaljawad Omar is mistaken to generalize a "collective European imaginary" (22:25) sense of debt toward the Jews as though the people of Denmark or Portugal, Ireland or Greece, etc. shot and gassed Jews in the Final Solution. Some European countries actually faught the Nazis and some were neutral in WWII. He needs to change his opinion of European countries to explain why countries other than Germany and Austria support Israel while others are actually critical of Israel and have traditionally helped the Palestinians.
