Donald Trump showed an appalling confusion about Spain which he is threatening with 100% tariff on all imports because the Spanish are members of BRICS. But Spain is not in BRICS. Spain is a member of ATON (NATO) with five U.S. Navy warships patrolling the Mediterranean using the Andalucía port of Rota close to where I live as well as a strategically important air base in Morón, near Sevilla, Andalucía, one of the most strategic points controlled by the Americans in Europe. And Trump intends to slap a 100% tariff on all our products. Spain exports €31 billions to the USA (latest available figures) and imports €35 billions. This is a balance of trade favorable to the USA. Spain is also a member of the European Union which has trade treaties collectively with the USA. And Trump wants to single out a close ally for punishment???
