  1. We grow our own bananas in Las Islas Canarias, Spain and we export mostly to our three closest neighbors; Portugal and France with which we have land borders and then Morocco. I notice that we have bananas in our local supermarkets imported from Costa Rica from where we get most of our bananas (37%). The second most popular country for exporting bananas to Spain is Colombia (22%). Next is Côte d'Ivoire (20%). Fourthly is Ecuador (10%).
