  1. Anne Applebaum is dead nuts against the Soviet Union which no longer exists and the country the Americans love to hate, Venezuela. The host is a devotee of NATO which he calls "the most successful, multilateral, security organization in the history of the world" 26:15. He is claiming that an organization which has a membership confined to the North Atlantic with European countries which take their orders from the USA with a much more restrictive membership than the United Nations which has done far more for world peace. He forgets that NATO starts wars all the time and for twenty years and many deaths fought and lost against the Taliban in Afghanistan! NATO is involved in a proxy war currently in Ukraine which is not even a member country. How did I end up here?
