For eight years the ethnic-Russian people in the Donbas were bombarded by neo-Nazi Ukrainian nationalists. Children there were developing post-traumatic disorder from the explosions and killing by fellow-countrymen and all the time the Russians did nothing for their kith and kin. After eight relentless years the Russians finally came to the rescue and moved-in with a special military operation. But your guest, Jan Oberg, thinks the Russians were wrong to do this. He is wrong.

@endofhistory-k3x Stopping the bombardment of ethnic Russians in the Donbas over eight years did eventually solve a problem. Of course there need not have been a special military operation and Russia was offering a peace deal with the Minsk Agreements and there was almost a final deal which would have left all of eastern Ukraine as a semi-autonomous region of Ukraine with respect for the Russian language, culture, and religion but Zelensky listened to the former British prime minister and walked away, leaving A3OB to continue their attempt to ethnically cleanse the eastern oblasts. This is established history.
