  1. At 1:20 the narrator says that Willi Herold, at the age of 10, joined the Hitler Youth (HJ). This was impossible as the Hitlerjugend was open to boys from age 14. Willi joined the Deutsches Jungvolk which took boys from age 10 to 13 and at 14 they transitioned to the HJ. Even at the age of 11 he must have had a desire and ability to command others as he set-up his own gang of Jungvolk and could get other boys to obey his orders. Had he not been working class, he very likely would have found the leaders of the Jungvolk and later the HJ more open to his leadership qualities and trained him for the responsibility he craved.
