I'm glad I live in Granada, the far south of Spain which is away from the war some European leaders such as Macron and Starmer want to continue. Unfortunately, our president in Spain, Pedro Sánchez, has stated any "just and lasting peace" requires Ukrainian and European participation. He does not support a solution which is agreed only between Russia and the United States which freezes out the government in Kiev and all the European countries of NATO/OTAN. These European heads of government are mystified by Trump's plan to make peace solely between Trump and Putin. To the Europeans, it looks like President Trump has switched sides.
