Doctorow can be relied upon to promote the views of the Russians which he gets from his tv set. More disturbing is his homophobic opinions which are also in line with current Russian Orthodoxy. I avoid his prejudice.

@ddr2209 Can you read English? I never wrote that Doctorow is Russian and I heard him say he liked visiting Belgium because in the streets there were no homosexuals which is a view in keeping with the conservative morality of the Russian Orthodox Church. Modern Russia is notoriously homophobic and Doctorow represents this. He is anti-American regardless of his place of birth.
