  1. Push button and dial Four wheel DRIVE should be BANNED! My '05 Lincoln Mark LT had push button four wheel drive with a little light to indicate what setup you were currently using. Well long story longer, my little indicator light had not indicated the fact that I was in FOUR HIGH I didn't put it in four high but that was what it was on, anyway since I didn't know four wheel drive was engaged I proceeded to get on the highway I don't remember what speed I had gotten up to but BOOOOOM, it sounded like and felt like a bomb had gone off! Right when that happened I looked in my rearview mirror and saw a fine mist of fluid spraying all over the car behind me which was tailgating me, ha, anyway I pulled over and found my front drive shaft gone and a huge hole in the transfer case! So because of the failure of the indicator light that should have told me I was in FOUR WHEEL DRIVE, I have been calling for push button and dial actuated four wheel drive to be banned. Actually going out and locking your hubs is the best way to do it, yes, it'll kind of suck having to get out and lock those hubs in the mud but compared to exploding everything it's a very small inconvenience!!

  3. Here in Santa Fe NM it 0435 and I'm thinking, " what in the world is ray doing at work at 0430? Then I remember he is in Florida which is 2 hours ahead of me. So the question becomes, "what am I doing awake at 0438??? I am now powering off the engine"!! Ha

  8. Not to speak for everyone else but I like these videos I especially like the longer videos. I'm not a mech but I do enjoy learning and just watching it's kinda relaxing the only thing missing is the shop smell which I love. My Uncle owned a shop called Mr. Transmission here in Santa Fe NM and I loved going there and I miss the smell, shops just have that certain smell if you know you know...

It makes no sense to freak out, cuss like a sailor and go bouncing off the walls and ceiling for 5-10 min because after you do all that you end right where you started and you've accomplished nothing. So I too have a laid back way of going about life! 🤓. Which by the way keeps you happy and heart attack free.

  31. Jeez I read some of the comments, wow people are critical of your actions. Me, I very much enjoy your videos, start my days with them and I have learned from them, thanks to you I was able to replace my valve cover gaskets, my coils and seeing how you remove stuck bolts with heat my spark plugs were tightened by a Titan so I went for a ride, got my engine up to temp and was able to remoe those spark plugs. All from watchin and learning from you! Thank you Ray, you ROCK.

  39. My little Chihuahua is in the hospital he's doing not so good. He is a little old man but I call him my bed bug cuz he sleeps and is always on the bed, he chases the cats off by the way, but he's in the hospital so it was good to have a rain man ray video to lift my spirits.

  42. Well, it seems we have to call a waaaa-mbulance for all the whiny babies crying bout the camera. Give Mr. Ray a break, let the man get used to the new canera. I guess people dont remember when the go pro's would just shut off because they overheated. Also its not the quality of the video, its the content that matters. So a little look the other way when the picture isnt perfect will go a looong way. Just my opinion, you don't have to agree but come on, the man does so much for us. Lets give a little back. In way of patience.

  45. Please tell me there's gonna be a part 2? And if needed parts 3 or 4. I don't know who or how many complain about seeing the same car and engine worked on for more then one video. I like seeing the tear down but, I also like to see it put back together so as to learn. So please tell me there will be a part 2. Thank you Ray for all you and wife unit and coworker units do for us. Please don't bow down to people who just happen upon your videos and leave a snide remark. Actually what do I know?   46. I gotta say, it's a trip watching all the bolts and nuts come off without escalation of violence! I live in Santa Fe NM, the southwest of the US and here everything on our cars has rust! The rust has rust. It's a pain in the back side!! 😊
