  6.  @Puschit1  It probably knows the plasma rifle exists, it just doesn't know its an experimental/secret weapon, unavailable to the public. If its an issue weapon in the 40w power range a few years on the future, it probably exists at least as a prototype, in the current time. The gun dealer didn't even flinch, so he probably thought the same thing.
