  3. The only expressed strategic objective for Ukraine, from the 'West'/NATO, is the US' intent to keep shoving a knife into Ukraine's hand, until Russia blunts its sword hacking them to pieces.

  4. Its not difficult, just google 'ukraine' and filter results to show only prior to Jan 2022. Its just page after page of Western MSM articles about corruption, bombing civilians and neonazis. Two things can be true at the same time, Russia can be a massive dick and Ukraine can deserve every veiny inch.

  5. I don't really know anything about this budget bill, but it does seem everyone is completely no-factoring the DOGE and its possible elimination of entire agencies. If their budgets are redirected to more productice uses, it would be pretty easy to actually improve Medicaid and Medicare. Remember, the mandate of DOGE is to improve efficiency, not necessarily shrink the budget. In short this notion that cutting the budget necessitates cutting Medicaid, is predicated on the established 'business as usual'. It remains to be seen if there actually is another way. That said, institutional inertia is going to be extremely challenging to overcome.

  6. Ok, Im going to defend Trump here just a little bit. Yes, hes an adult and President and should be able to handle things like this a bit better. But, his frequent double downs without clarification, are oppositional defiance of an institutionally dishonest media that, as he put it 'since he came down the escalator', has without exception hyperbolized and wilfully malinterpreted every single word he says. So, hes just being petulant and not getting sucked into expending all his time and attention to endlessly explaining and defending his every word like he did last time. I am the same way about arguing with dishonest people. When I first heard the Gaza thing, I was a bit aghast too. But, after thinking some about how he speaks and thinks and his background in real estate, it made a lot more sense. Still not a fantastic idea and somewhat shortsighted, but my take is that he sees Gaza as an unlivable post apocalyptic wasteland. So, he wants the US to act as a guardian of sorts to take responsibility and restore it while regional partners put up the residents until they can return. Then build a great big beautiful privacy wall with a great big door in it. Just like you would do during renovation of a NYC hirise apt. Its an intriguing Humanitarian proposition that would necessitate unprecedented Middle East cooperation. It could be a Renaissance project, or a catastrophe. But, if he could get the whole region to cooperate on it, that would stand to substantially stabilize the entire Middle East. Exactly the opposite of America's typical Freedom from Above and Precision Guided Democracy. But, again, hes unnecessarily alarming the people he means to help, by stubbornly refusing to explain himself to the media.
