Haven't watched yet, but Im going to be seriously skeptical that there is going to be any 'in depth ' examination. I was a US Army analyst on Desert Storm.

@component9008 Haven't decided yet. However, I can offer a very simple answer to why Iraq invaded Kuwait - they had to. They were circling the drain after the decade long tuneup they and Iran just gave each other. They had a lot of wild justifications and excuses to do it, but thats all they were. The fact is Kuwait had resources they needed for survival and if they hadn't been able to rationalize it any other way, they would've just made a generic claim that Kuwait is a threat, or Kuwait is their historical territory and done it anyway.

Correct. Everything else is an excuse to do what they had little choice but to do. They were circling the drain and Kuwait had resources they needed for survival.
