So, in essence, it was still easier than today? This guy in the vid keeps saying how grateful he is for today's ease of use, but as a first generation microcomputer user, I see it very differently. We could take apart and completely understand ANY piece of software, whereas now, not even the creators truly understand their own code, or know what's in it, or what its doing. Its built like a construction project, from prefab components and contains 100s of thousands of unique and mostly unknown fail critical elements. What launched the computer revolution was the user's total control; now its another convenience people take completely as granted. I enjoy the power of today's computers, but deeply lament the loss of command and control.
