This show just compounded the injustice to his victims, by characterizing them as indiscriminate homosexuals, going home with an sinisterly creepy white guy, for money. His portrayal as some Anthony Hopkins character completely undercut the reality of how he got away with it so many times. He was most definitely not slow-witted/spacey and creepy. He was vibrant, sociable and intelligent; he seemed friendly and trustworthy. Thats typically what makes the difference between a murderer and a serial murderer, ie the one that doesn't get suspected, let alone caught. Whats most egregious, is the portrayal of the last victim and the scenario that got him caught, when his trial testimony bears almost no resemblance. Everything about his demeanor and his lifestyle is 'dirtied up' to make him overtly sinister, to push the narrative that all these white people knew and just didn't care, cause racism. You know, even though the most effectual serial murderer we know about, is black 🙄
