  1. Springs are too heavy in your M1. The original springs are light. The M1 will fire out of battery, so everyone has upgraded them with heavier springs for all the new fangled tactical operator shooting style. Remington and Monarch ammo(as well as others) is underpowered and wont cycle reliably. The M1 is a really nice little rifle, but inherently flawed.
