Its an outrageously maniacal gamble that only proves how deranged theyve become and how totally its compromised their judgement. If they fall one seat short, Republicans will have a free hand and absolutely no reason to compromise on anything; if they stop Kavanaugh and fail to seize the Senate, Trump will pick the most hardline rightwing Conservative available, to replace him and Republicans will ramrod them Democrats' asses, without a reacharound. This is the kind of gamble you see in movies, where some twitchy rodent of a man, sits by a half empty bourbon glass, sweating like a spaghetti western villain, as he doubles down on a pair of 4s.
