B-b-b-buh-b-but 23 has a slightly smaller RCS from the front... an-an-and it could do everything 22 did, it just didn't want to 😒

  3. The flight demonstrator 23 had slightly smaller RCS, in one aspect, than the 22, that was already combat capable. Thats all there is to this iTs BeTtEr ThaN tHe F22 nonsense. The 23 was not weapons capable in the iteration that was tested, which is why it didn't demonstrate weapons. That was a later round of testing, so they didnt bother at that stage. Lockheed did, which is why they received confidence that they could deliver. In short Northrup pitted a tech demonstrator against a functional fighter. Thats why it lost.

  6. No, they designed one fighter and one tech demonstrator. The 22 won, because it was already 80% developed at trial, where the 23 was just a flight demonstrator that required substantial development and refit, for weapons.
