This is all so unreasonably sus. First and foremost, I just assume that the reality of what happened is orders of magnitude milder than Western sources present. My first critical assumption is always that MSM is hyperbolizing, as much as they can get away with.
We(most of us) are at the mercy of translations by self-interested, agenda driven parties. Translation is an art that requires deep comprehension of culture; its not a simple word exchange. A single word choice can alter the entire theme and tone. This is also a major blindspot for most people, when talking to non-native English speakers. Watching other Eastern and African source translations of Putin and Prigozhin, it appears that Putin was not under threat, rather that Prigozhin was acting on his behalf. He charged that the Generals were lying to Putin and he meant to stop them, by removing them. So, rather than a coup, a vigilante taking it upon himself to do what Putin can't, due to the Russian political structure.
But... then the crisis was averted with a phone call and 7,000 - 10,000 marching Wagner forces and the 5,000 - 7,000 Chechen and 7,000 - 10,000 Russian troops sent to stop them, all met up in Voronezh... and disappeared. Meanwhile, Prigozhin is headed to Belarus with 20,000 Wagner troops, where theres already 30,000 Russian troops positioned.
So, roughly 60,000 - 75,000 Russian, Chechen and Wagner troops, within a day's march of Kharkiv and Kiev, while everyone is looking at Donetsk.
