  1. They're trying desperately to buy votes, rather than appeal to voters. This is all 'base mobilization', counting on the voters that will never vote for anyone else regardless. There is an accidental truth in the age old Democrat talking point that 'low turnout favors Republicans'. This is because Conservative voters vote everytime, as a personal duty. Whereas, Leftist voters vote only when they're personally benefitting. If they're not personally promised something they want, they just don't bother. Right now, Democrats are afraid their base just isnt going to vote, so they're promising across the board consequence free self-indulgence; take out loans and dont pay them back, break the law and get out of jail free, be promiscuous with no worries. Vote blue, no matter who and never face responsibility.
