@schrodingerscat1863 For everyone to panic, there must have been serious reason. Youd think someone would've had presence of mind to try something. Perhaps an incapacitated/compromised pilot and inexperienced copilot? Something unusual must have happened inside the cockpit.

The video showing the injestion is a social media posting, so it may be a mirror image. In which case it would be the port engine that took damage. Ive watched a few of these and everyone is saying mostly the same thing. But, everyone is also overlooking the same thing. The possibility that one or more pilots were injured by birdstrikes. There may have been multiple strikes. Just a couple months ago a 737 pilot in Canada was injured by a single strike that penetrated the windshield. If one or both were incapacitated and or compromised, whomever was still hands on may have simply done their best to get it on the ground, unable to perform the emergency/backup procedures. Not necessarily likely, but something to consider.

@mfree80286 Not necessarily. The incident where the pilot was injured was not revealed over comms, they just declared an emergency. There is no 'cleat sightline' through the windows, there is what appears to be light coming through, which could also be diffusion from broken glass. 'Bird mist'??? WTAF?
