Deckard is not a replicant and that would completely invalidate his character's trial. Deckard identifies with replicants because he feels an ambiguity about his own Humanity, which is what makes it so tragic; a hunter wishing to be his own prey. This is the significance of his connection to Batty. They both simultaneously assume all significant roles of Human/non-Human, hunter/hunted, viable/nonviable, Righteous/irredeemable, prime/terminal, etc. The mere notion that Deckard is a replicant, is exactly the sort of bullshit, spoonfed pandering, we would expect, if Blade Runner were made today 🙄
