@МихайлоРостов Was going to say this. Nothing surplus is for poors, anymore. Your mom wears combat boots? Baller! I used to buy a lot of surplus, because it was a good bargain for bombproof gear, but eBay has wrecked the used merchandise market all around. Now, theres a million LARPfags that will always pay $1 more than you, just to have a 'real army man belt' when they play their Airsoft. And then there's the just outright dickholes that will pay top dollar for junk, just because they know someone else wants it and getting it befire you do, is its only value to them. Sad to say, but eBay really is 'Capitalism run amok' and it affects the entire market.

@ArizVideo Like a cult. Really says more about their own true opinion of PSA, then it does anyone eleses that they try so hard to justify buying a cheap rifle. PSAs are cheap, thats why people buy them. Thats why I buy them. I have no problem recognizing that, nor do I feel unarmed or unconfident with one. I guarantee if the only thing different about their PSA, were a $1000 price tag, no one would say 'oh, b-b-buh-b-but... its just as good'.

@cravenmoorehead5 Yeah, awhile back, a friend picked up an un-defaced Arisaka, for $50 because the owner had the bolt in backward and though it was broken.

@sneakyfox1876 Lets be honest, the 1911 is shit, relative to any Western service pistol of the past 70 years. The only reason its still a thing, is competitive shooters.

Mechanically, PSA are the equal of just about any off the rack AR. A common issue is loose receiver mating, because theyre forged components, but that really has no effect on performance. Other guns, like my FN are nice and tight, but it cost $1300 and doesn't shoot any better. They have poor finishing and ceap surface treatment. Sometimes stuff doesn't work right, like undersized pin holes, or dust covers that wont close, but mostly its just aesthetic deficiencies.

@geometro9512 If its what I had, I wouldn't feel naked. They shoot great, its just low capacity, obsolete caliber and they like to take timeouts.
