That is neither a 'spike', nor is it significant, not is it relevant, because any radiation from dispersed DU would not be gamma, it would be alpha. Wrong kind of radiation. The primary danger from particlized DU is heavy metal toxicity. Its only a radiation hazard if its inhaled and injested in aerosol. This occurs when it hits armor at hypersonic velocities, ie fired from the main gun of a tank. It vaporizes and precipitates as microscopic dust. It does not occur from being exploded. You receive more radiation from a smoke detector than from external contact with DU.
