Close, but miss. It has nothing to do with media and gvt, they're just opportunistic. The shooting epidemic, is a cultural and social issue, decades in the making. Gvt has no power at all, to affect it. Its the expression of a 'no boundaries' culture of instant gratification and self-entitlement. 9/10 of these public mass murder events, are a social justice rampage to get even with society for depriving the sex, respect, success, inclusion, etc, the perpetrator feels entitled. How long can someone be told that every disappointment and failure, is a stumbling block deliberately put in their way by someone who hates them, before murdering the world, is just self-defense? Until everyone accepts their own culpability of actions and or inactions and quits the mad dash to kick it far as they can, from their own feet, expect it to get get worse and only worse, regardless of what measures are taken.
