Wrong. Local gvts and regional environment, shape regional politics. 10 million people living shoulder to shoulder, have fairly homogeneous politics and vote essentially as one person. 1 million people distributed across several counties, do not have identical politics and therefore must have such a system to have agency. Your argument is that a household of 3, has the Right to dictate the rules for a household of 2, a hundred miles away. Your argument is that LA is more likely to make the right decisions for Bozeman, than the people of Bozeman are, to make the right decisions for themselves. Thats absurd and a bit megalomaniacal. The EC votes are allocated for Congressional seats, so what youre actually saying, is that states have too many Representatives and their voice within the Federal gvt, is too loud. So, which states then, would you silence? silenced?
