The Federal gvt? Because the Federal loans they hand out to everyone is why college costs so much. When you register for classes, the first thing they do, is get you into a loan.

@kairidon3363 Uh, no. GI Bill is a benefit of serving your country. I didn't get gvt help, the gvt got my help. Along with half my hand and 30% of vision in my left eye. But, hey, I did get tinnitus, so it all evens out

@kairidon3363 No, you only pay taxes if you work. If you work, then you can pay your debts. I worked and paid mine, so now I get to pay yours, too.

@chevychase3103 Brutal and or dangerous work, though. Like AC and heating. High pay, secure job, but you're crawling around in 150° attics, choking on decades of dust and mold.

@glasshalffull8625 It would have, if the Obama administration hadnt basically shutdown the G/O industry, 2 years later. But, yes, after several years of struggling with temp work, I got hired on permanently at UPI. Then I ditched it for the circuit.

Its more twisted than that. I served my country and gave half my hand to Uncle Sam, worked hard, passed my classes, got a job, and paid my loans... so that I can work to pay someone else's loans, who didn't work hard, pass their classes and get a job. So, not only am I not benefitting, Im actually paying twice
