  1. Bogus credentials are not a helping hand. Finding something they can do, that maybe isnt available to everyone, is a helping hand. A guy I went to highschool with in the 80s, not very bright, terrible homelife, poor as dirt and came to school about 6hrs a week, attended our auto mechanic vocational program that was pretty much off-limits to regular students. Today he owns the 3rd biggest auto shop in the county and is happy, successful and has a lovely family. That program was scrapped in the early 2000s, when they just started graduating kids like him and sending them out to fail, fail and fail, until they ended up waiting tables at Denny's.
