Furthermore, Leftists are more likely to acquire proper training out of a sense of personal responsibility to owning guns. And if what you believe about the other side, is true, then they are more likely to have the imitative.   8. +David Schornik In the scenario youre envisioning, the US military would experience massive desertions and defections, accompanied by deserters walking away with whatever isnt nailed down and defectors sabotaging whatever is left. They would NOT use armor for anything but troop transport and they would NOT use offensive air power. China, Russia and the UN could get no greater gift than the US gvt airstriking and armored assaulting its own people... like a Middle Eastern shithole. But e en assuming they did use armor and airpower, do you believe it would work any better against a war hardened, heavily armed, veteran rich populace, any better than its worked against uneducated, flipflop wearing cavemen, wielding 40+ year old rifles they dug up out of the sand? And with war production being vulnerable to direct attack?
