  3. Look, whatever I believe about 'collusion' aside, you HAVE to know that the charges and guilty pleas dont have to have anything to do with anything else he might have to say. Just because he plead guilty to money laundering, doesnt mean he doesnt have information about other crimes, by other people. This does not instil me with confidence.

  4. Joe Smith No, what hes saying is that innocent people often plea guilty to escape further miscarriage of justice. If you dont believe that, pop on over to Innocence Project and see how many confessed murderers have been exonerated by physical proof. It has become a standard policy for the State to overcharge defendants, to encourage plea deals. This is why you see people charged with a bunch of the heaviest possible charges, along with a bunch of procedural charges and you wonder why theyre bothering to go after the armed robber for a bag of weed.

  8. DMaster Mensionz True. So are CNN, NYT, MSNBC, WaPo(to a lesser degree, on par with FOX). The entire story, is that this is entirely political. None of what Trump is accused of, is a crime. Unseemly, possibly. But not criminal and certainly not to any degree to justify the absurd depth and breadth of the investigation. Thats why its been labeled a 'witch hunt'. Here's the real question - Suppose Trump really is a witch, is that a crime; do we still burn witches?

  11. Mitheledh I agree with most of what youre saying. My point, is that in the 'Justice' system and more importantly, in politics, none of that really matters. What matters is what people are willing to accept as Truth. Unfortunately there are far too many on both sides, who have already decided the Truth, with zero evidence. For myself, I couldnt care less if Trump stood by while knowing allowing a foreign government to assist him(if thats true). But I do care if he secured that assistance with some sort of bargain. Removal from office, is something I cant opine about, until faced with the choice. However, if... if I am thoroughly convinced that he, in some way, purchased foreign assistance, I can say the he will not have my vote in 2020. That said, Im afraid that the whole issue is so muddied that we will never know the truth.
