No SECSTATE (that we know of) has gone behind the back of the new administration, to tell a hostile foreign power to just ignore this new guy, because we are getting rid of him and then we can continue with our deals. That, no joke, is bordering on Treason. Real Treason, not the 'treason' everyone casually throws around as a substitute for 'I dont like what youre doing', but Treason, that can your neck stretched.
