  3.  @tsouth5510  Clinically speaking, done properly, hanging is the quickest, most painless method. The severe trauma of the neck breaking and severing of the brainstem is practically instantaneously lethal and completely painless. Beheading, done properly, severs the spinal cord cleanly, with minimal trauma, allowing at the very least momentary consciousness of the event.
