@cimcimnig The yumi and katana are both poor instruments. They are made and used the way they are, because of poor materials and superstition. The katana is the most overrated sword I'm aware of. Every bit of the culture around it, is a workaround to its fragility.

@cimcimnig I have a badass Comanche shortbow that will stick a stone point all the way through you at 100m 🙂 Edit: not that I could hit something that small at that range, but thats my limitation.

@asianbeowulf4276 'If used wrong' Sure. Because they are used they way they are, because they are fragile. Their design is dictated by their materials. Japanese steel and wood are terrible. Same reason the English longbow is 6 feet long to do the same job as a 5' American osage bow.
