Wasn't this like a 24hr rampage? I mean, if it was more than 10 minutes at ranges of less than 50m, then then the weapon was pretty irrelevant, anyway. The first thing people need to examine, before kneejerking, is how critical the specific weapon was to the act. Could he gave used a different weapon, to achieve similar results? My guess is that question was never considered and the 'more than thoughts and prayers' deserved by Canadians, is symbolic legislation that impacts only law abiding people with the wrong politics.
