Russia did not lie, Pentagon did... again..
There is no collision. The damage was caused by several hundred pounds of liquid dumping into the prop.
These planes are much larger than you think. Almost the entire airframe is visible and fits within ~50% of the field of view. If it had actually made contact, the entire field of view would've been filled by just a small part of the plane.
The event occurs as the plane is already passing over the top, thus given the plane's AOA, the vertical structures are what would've been impacted, not the prop; angles.
The prop damage is consistent with what we see in water impacts, not hard impacts(lots and lots photos of both, available on the internet).
There is no apparent shuddering, smoke, flame, apparent loss of altitude, or anything else to indicate critical damage that would necessitate immediately scuttling the asset. They absolutely would've flown it directly away from Russian territory until it fell out of the sky; the narrative that they had to bring it down themselves is bullshit on its face. The video conveniently ends immediately after the prop is damaged, so we have only their impeccable word on how it came down.
The overwhelmingly most likely scenario is after the second pass, the operator attempted to evade the Su27s and crashed it.
