Plus, the US has given Ukraine a number of weaponized sea drones, possibly capable of diving. Its almost certain the Moskva was attacked with them, as it was holed below the waterline, which antiship missiles do not do.

The German Chancellor already said it doesn't matter what the German People want, she is committed to Ukraine, to the end. The German and UK gvts have been under rapidly increasing pressure to negotiate for gas, as people are starting to panic and anti-NATO protests have been erupting all over EU. Now, by extraordinary happenstance, it doesn't matter what the People want, because Russia can't turn the gas on at any price. Like like when Cortez assembled his men on the beach and fired the ships. No turning back, you're all-in whether you like it or not.
