  2. ​ @mairebisnett660  We are neither. We are a representative Democracy. Its a hybrid system. In the true Republic, as the Founders envisioned, the state appointed representative has a vote, not the people. Theoretically, the local gvts of individual parishes and provinces appoint those representatives, but there is no direct accountability to the People. This is still how Electors are assigned for Federal elections.
