And what people just cannot get their heads around, is that this is most likely to get them exactly opposite of what they want. Mostly, people lack empathy. They sympathize with the 'victim', but have no *empathy', for anyone. Did the police screw the pooch? Absolutely. Were there actions justified? That is a much more difficult question. Law enforcement is a unique profession, where you don't have the luxury of personal judgement, where public safety is involved. This is why we see low intensity incidents turn deadly in a beat, because someone resists. Police officers cant simply let someone get away, for a myriad of reasons, not the least of which being that everything they do past that point, is on their conscience and their liability. What if this guy got away and hurt some innocent bystander? Not saying that was going to happen, but that its the hypothetical that officers are uniquely faced with, as their job description. Even solduers don't have that level of responsibility. Just saying, an edited video doesn't tell us everything we need to know about what happened and if anyone wants actual Justice, they need to find out, first. What everyone is screaming for, ironically, is a lynching.
