  1. Geez, my 70 year old mom. I tell her 10 times a day, ITS NOT FREE. My generation built and grew up alongside the Internet, so theres not too many deep shadows, but the older and younger generations, just walk around like food. Older people dont really know how it works and get taken advantage of and kids... dude, they eat fucking Tidepods and snort rubbers 🤦

  2. CerebralDreams Correct. One of the blackholes in USA PATRIOT allows the authorities to purchase or receive 'tip' data, that they would otherwise need a warrant to collect. The way it works, is Google and FB own your data, so they can sell or give it away to anyone they want (read your TOS). The authorities dont need any cooperation from you to acquire or use that data, they just need cooperation from the owner. These companies then voluntarily share your data, with them. The solution is right of ownership of your data. The fear tactic they use to discourage that, is claim that they will no longer be able to offer Google, or FB, for free. Thats a lie, because it was always 'free', this new paradigm is just profit expansion on a product that hasn't substantially changed in end use functionality, since its market entry; all the new bells and whistles, largely supporting said profit expansion. I guarantee that its an empty threat, to prey on addicts... like your heroin dealer telling you they now only accept credit cards, as payment.
