  1. Like the F16, it will not be fighting the adversary it was designed to face, it will be fighting the adversary that was built to answer it. All of these Western tanks were designed and built when ATGM were a special weapon, that they would face rarely and could take tactical countermeasures against. Now, everyone has a Kornet and even more effective rail launch ATGM. Then theres Krasnopol, which shocked DoD with its anti-armor effectiveness and exposed a significant capability gap that we're scrambling to close. The Abrams is going to get banged, just like we did to Iraq. What goes around comes around.

  2.  @geektechpow4537  Problem with Abrams is that it was built for a war that the the world passed by and is now obsolete. Mines, guided artillery shells, missiles and loitering munitions are threats it was never meant to face.

  3.  @aerosdacillo1227  What Ukraine needs is some adults in charge, who know how to swallow their pride and make hard decisions to save what's left of their country. There are zero scenarios where Ukraine pushes Russia out of Donbas or Crimea and there are zero scenarios where Ukraine is 'winning' with hundreds of thousands of hostile troops occupying double digit percentages of their country, killing their soldiers and destroying their cities. Its 100% unmitigated cope, to think there are.

  10.  @Singular121  I don't think the current Lancet is accurate enough with the warhead it carries. It needs bigger boom, or better attack profile. Its a beast on APC/IFV but its not destroying tanks unless it gets a lucky hit on a particularly vulnerable spot. It'll disable one, for sure, but Abrams are high value and will definitely be recovered if possible. A Vikhr or LMUR will smoke it, though.
