  1. Why doesn't everyone have a generator? Power grids exist for a reason. Russian damages substations instead of destroying generation plants, because keeping them repaired is a huge drain on resources and manpower. Doing this last winter, allowed Russia to build all their defenses, because Ukraine was stretched too thin from keeping the power on, to supply any kind of meaningful offensive action.
