  2. Iraq was invaded because Iraq NEVER abided the cease fire stipulations that saved it from invasion the first time. Iraq was invaded, because the Iraqi government was STILL developing/stockpiling banned weapons and had a military that it was about to lose control of, to extremist rebels. I was actually THERE... TWICE. The first time, I watched a Marine bawling like a little bitch, punching his hands bloody on the side of a tank, while Iraqi soldiers were executing civilians in the streets a little over a mile away. We were forbidden to intervene. This time, we recovered enough Mustard and Sarin to satisfy the burden of justification. This time there were more than a dozen gas attacks over 5 years, using Sarin artillery shells as IEDs. But because they didnt know how to use gas effectively, there were only a handful of minor injuries. Ironically, you listened to CNN too much. There was never any direct threat to America from 'massive stockpiles of WMD', or 'UBL ties' with Saddam. Those were broad strokes of legitimate issues that you were too dull to comprehend, without CNN dumbing it down for you. The ONLY thing that wasnt found, was the mobile anthrax labs. Thats it. Everything else was found, in sufficient quantity to have murdered millions of people... including direct evidence that Uday was interested in arming Afghan insurgents with CW. It was also speculated that large quantities were smuggled to Syria, prior to invasion. Fast forward to the first gas attack in Syria, which turned out to be a weapon from the Iraqi arsenal. But first and foremost, Saddam had been suppressing a rebellion since we left the first time, that rebellion had been infiltrated by extremists from Afghanistan and Iran and was about to gain control of large amounts of his physical military. Which they eventually did, when we left, again.
