  4. @Socrates My point is that they're already widely available, where 30 years ago they were 'exotic'. My point is that electric cars are not going to be the performance 'gamechanger' you think they are. Not only will those commonly available cars do sub 5 sec 0-60, but theyll do 13 sec ¼ miles, +120 mph, do it on demand, over and over again, with a 2 min refuel, at 3 locations, within a mile radius. And at a fraction of the price tag, too.

  11.  @Amperrs  The 90s model ZR1 did 0-60 in a fraction under 5 sec and pulled 1.0g on the skidpad. So this other guy's assertion that +1.0g is discretely equal to a specific 0-60 time, goes to show how poorly people understand this. My tractor will pull ~1g, just long enough to do a full over the top wheelie and kill you.
