If the bullet strikes at a liw moment of yaw, it can drill a clean hole through several people. If it strikes at a high moment of yaw, its like bomb going off inside the target. The reason we fire triplets from the M4/AR platform, isnt because one round isnt sufficient, its to average the potentials to make sure that we get a high yaw round. That single round is what does all the damage. We had a guy take a round at near muzzle contact, going into the shoothouse. It penetrated his vest, missed the plate, entered under his shoulder blade, existed above his nipple, hit his vest and stopped. When we peeled off his armor, the bullet fell out into the dirt and was so clean and pristine, you probably couldve reloaded it and used it again. Conversely, I saw a guy that took a hit to the sternum and bullet fragments exited his belly.
