Wrong. Its not the only instance. There were several witness accounts of his pointing his gun and trying to intimidate people, but they couldn't corroborate them, so they didn't make it into evidence. There is however, evidence that he pointed his weapon at an unarmed man for sitting on a car and theres video/photo evidence of him entering the parking lot, with his rifle up and pointing it at people, possibly Rosenbaum, prior to being chased. Then points it at Rosenbaum from 30' across the parking lot. The defense argument is essentially that this all happened so fast, Rittenhouse didn't have any options. That also goes for the unarmed people he was pointing his gun at. From the perspective of an unarmed person that someone runs up on with a rifle pointing at you, do you think you might gave a Right to try and disarm them? The prosecution case, is that he was running around pointing his gun at people, until someone got fed up and tried to take it away from him.

He also testified that he fired because Rosenbaum grabbed his gun. The video shows 5 - 6 feet of separation between them when he fires; then fires three more times while lowering the muzzle. The only physical evidence of him reaching for the gun, is flash burns on his hands, meaning his hands were in front of the muzzle. These facts together indicate that he fired on him from distance and the 'lunge' was him falling forward and grabbing for the gun, as a reaction to being shot. The problem for Rittenhouse, is that in a dynamic encounter like this, its totally explainable, but instead of explaining, he lied to make himself appear faultless.
This whole mess, is because he didn't stand up and take responsibility for mistakes and tried to walk away from killing two people without any consequences. Thats why he lied on the stand, to make himself clean. Had he fessed up in the beginning and taken responsibility for what he did, he almost certainly wouldn't be on trial for a double murder. What everyone should learn from this, though no one is learning anything , is that no matter how explainable it is, or how justified you were, if you obfuscate and lie about the circumstances of a shooting, this is what you can expect.

That's just a lie. Hes on video admitting to pointing a gun at someone. Oh, b-b-b-buh-b-but, he said he was being sarcastic and its totally true, because he said so. There's video of him entering the parking lot with his weapon up and sweeping the corner left to right, from where the Ziminskis were, to where Rosenbaum was - nah-uhhhhhh its fake, Kyle said... really, the brilliance of this explanation is staggering... he had his shoulder up, but he doesn't remember if he had his rifle up. Theres video of him backpedaling and pointing his rifle at Rosenbaum, from across the parking lot 30' away - nah-uhhhh, its fake... despite his admitting to it, once confronted with the video. You clearly understand nothing at all about how anything works; they have imagery of him doing it, it doesn't matter how many people they don't have seeing him do it 🤦
Again and for the last fucking time, does any of that make a difference in self-defense? Probably not, but clearly you think it does and so you feel compelled to lie, just like he does, to preserve the spotless image of your Lefty killing hero. He is in this jam, because he destroyed evidence, refused to explain himself and then lied, in an attempt to avoid responsibility. From the content of these comments, I can assume none of you take responsibility for anything, either.

No, that's your argument. Integrity test: name 3 things Rittenhouse did wrong that night/3 opportunities to avoid the encounter with Rosenbaum.
Disclosure: I am a former Geospatial Imagey Analyst. My primary duties were Bomb Damage Assessment and Realtime ISR. Know those aerial videos of gunfights in Iraq and Somalia? Im the people who analyze those and figure out what happened. You can dig back through my old comments on various threads and confirm that I correctly called his running backwards through the parking lot with his rifle up, well before the 'zoom-in' uproar. If the defense team had someone like myself, they wouldn't have put him on the stand to lie. The first time I saw the image of him entering the parking lot, was on a Rekieta stream, having a fit about it being allowed. I had no context for what it was supposed to show, they were arguing that they didn't know what it was supposed to show, yet I commented there, to what was eventually claimed. What I saw: the fire extinguisher is between his feet, having been dropped at his left side and his right foot is planted, meaning he stepped outside the extinguisher with his left foot and pivoted on his right; he pivoted left to right, appx 45°. His head is facing the direction of movement, his weapon is muzzle up, at appx +35°, with his left hand on the the forend about one handspan forward of the magwell. If the prosecution had someone like myself, they would've had a better analysis. The point is, I kinda know what Im talking about, because I've kinda done this before, with lives in the balance.
