@micheleduritto
Id have to say his downfall was hubris. His 'gameplan' has always been to be as rude, obnoxious and generally shitty a Human being as possible, to 'psyche out' his oppnent. That's not clever, its not good strategy, its just poor sportsmanship and will eventually catch up with him somewhere theres no one to stop it; like a washed up gunfighter. Dana White made him, by encouraging him to be abusive outside the cage, like a sideshow and McHugger believed his own hype. Just like Rousey, only she had the sense and dignity to get out, when she figured out what was happening, because shes an actual athlete, not a POS bully that can't make it any other way, in life.

He most likely broke the fibula up close to the knee.
All the muscles and tendons are contained in a membrane of connective tissue that attaches to the full length of the bones. When the fibula breaks, the muscles and tendons snap back like a rubber band and all of it separates from the bone, like pulling apart bbq ribs. Its like your worst calf cramp x100. Because the muscles and tendons are no longer attached, they dont work. The foot torques, you cant straighten it and you roll your foot, breaking your ankle. You can see when the kick is checked near the knee, his leg ripples like jello, where everything pops loose and when he steps back it flops like a noodle.
One thing is certain, he is in a hurt locker right now and it couldn't happen to anyone more deserving. I hope everytime he sits up and the blood rushes into his wrecked leg and the insuppressable, literal scream out loud pain comes, he thinks about all his shitheadery and his finished career.
