Biden isn't "getting defensive," he's entered the stage of dementia where he reacted violently because he's no longer aware of his surroundings and doesn't recognize the people around him. At this point those lapses seem to be momentary and erratic, but soon they'll become longer and less controllable. Anyone who has experienced dementia in a loved one is familiar with this stage of decline. It only gets worse.
