Can they? One use weld the other one use rivets. This technical problems always takes time to learn. The Russian already learning welding technique from US in 1930s, even the British have problem with mass weld. The flaw with Germany welding technique is the reason why their tanks took long time to produce and often disintegrate when hit by high explosive. I cant imagine Italian can switch from rivet to weld that fast without problems.

They have bounty system for target like tanks and airplanes. Also in foreign soil they are given US dollars when they need to buy stuff locally.

They did it to save Zukov's reputation.

They dont have panzerjager battalion/company/platoon. The same thing happen when Russian have their own anti tank company/platoon/battery in 1943 and they start to have tiger and panther for breakfast. People often so fixated on tank vs tank casualty figure forgetting the one responsible for those kills are panzerjagers. Even their casualty figures are often sidelined. Thw wehraboo often celebrate the destruction of 8000 soviet tanks at Borodino with only 200 tanks but they neglect 1000 antitank guns lost and consequently thousands panzerjagers so badly that they no longer have reserve. According to Glantz this is the one and only turning point of the war.

@tedarcher9120 The number of Kv 1 is less than 200 and T-34 less than 2000, also they still have that famous 88mm gun. Also you dont have to destroy in one shoot. They aim at the barrel and tracks using 37mm and 50mm and finish it of with explosive. The job of panzerjager are to destroy enemy tanks no matter how they did it. The Russian anti tank units have their own manual/leaflet on how to destroy each tanks/vehicle using all of their available weapons.

@tedarcher9120 Italians dont have panzerjager units, unlike the Germans. Thats the point and until mid 1943 the Russian dont have them as well. Regular division always have anti aircraft batteries so they have 88 ready all the time. And again tank vs tank are rare and tank vs panzerjager are far more common. Panzerjager are trained to take down tanks no matter the cost thats why they can destroy Kv-1 and T-34 even armed only with 37mm guns.

@tedarcher9120 Im sure they have 88 since they always managed to obtain them. They dont have to be organic, they can be just attached for certain duration or permanent. Panzerjager are permanent addition to infantry division. Each division have at least one panzerjager battalion. I dont think you understand you dont need to one shoot a tank to kill it. In 1941 panzerjager use their 37mm to damage guns and track and finish Kv1 and T-34 with explosive. They are trained to destroy tanks with anything. latter Russian did the same, they are armed with 45mm guns but can score kills on Panther and Tiger.

@tedarcher9120 Yep! Having anti tank guns only one part of the equation. You need dedicated special units trained to take down tanks. You can see when the Russian deploy anti tank dogs their tactic are still comically inferior to the Germans. Russian antitank units in 1941 are lacking in number of guns. The Germans have about 12 guns each battalion, Russian only have 3. Also early Russian divisional gun dont have AT sight so you cant use them for AT job.
1
@tedarcher9120 You need to modify them first. Those guns dont have AT sight so its hard to use them for direct fire.
